Well you may be wondering what that "=" sign next to my name is, and yes now I have a subscription :D. A few weeks ago I entered GabrielleBrickey (https://www.deviantart.com/gabriellebrickey)'s Subscription Giveaway in the thumbshare forum, and I was picked. Now I have a shiny new subscription for three months. However my journal seems a little empty now, so I have an idea. Before all I could offer to thank my watchers and supporters was a short comment on their page, but now I can post thumbs in my journal. So if you are interested, leave a comment, and I'll feature as many of you as I can. All I ask is that you watch me.

I just discovered you and it was like walking into a candy shop.
The artists I admire the most are those who combine high technical skill with imagination and creativity, which describes you to a T.
Normally I would leave lots of comments on your work, but that would have meant at least 30 comments, so I thought to spare your inbox the agony of it all. xD
You have a wonderful sense of color, as well as compositional balance. I especially like the way you branch-out and mix things things up, giving us the unexpected.
As wild as it may get, it still has a harmony to it.
Your piece "Uncertainty" really stuck home to me emotionally, a blast from the past. Great art is all about moving the observer in some way, touching their hearts, conveying and inspiring any combination of mood, emotion, story, wonder, beauty/ugliness, message, idea, and thought.
Much of your work does just that. Stop and stare.

It is not often that I receive comments as insightful and complimentary as yours. Thank you very much for taking the time to view and critique my artwork. However, after visiting your page and understanding who you are, I cannot help but be inspired. I realized that I am only one of hundreds that you have taken the time to view and critique. I applaud your strength to move beyond your illness and help others. You are an example to us all.

Please no apology. We are all under great time and energy constraints. we get to when we can. Besides, I ascribe to Buddha's teaching "If you have no expectations, you will have no disappointments." This way, reply is a pleasant surprise. LOL
I am, alas, unable to do much art. The Narcotics and anti-seizure meds totally mess with creativity, as well as energy. When life presents you with new limitations or circumstances, you must reinvent yourself, or wallow in the quagmire of what is left of your life. It is a joy to see new artists with great imaginations and creative spirits. You are the future of art. I do worry sometimes that traditional art will disappear completely, which would be really sad, but I must have faith that it will survive. Engraving and wood blocking is all but dead.
I will tell a secret I learned early in my Academy years. When you help others, you help yourself. One of the best ways to learn is by trying to show someone else how to do it. Sharing techniques opens new doorways.
It is good to be inspired. After all, it is you and the others who inspire me to keep going and to share my wonder.
